Is this the end of Daredevil?

Does Matt Murdock have a future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Charlie Cox recently revealed if he’s ready and able to return to the character after Daredevil: Born Again.

Fans were ecstatic when it was announced that Charlie Cox would be making his return as Matt Murdock in the MCU. However, with Daredevil: Born Again coming out a full decade after Cox first started playing the character, many fear that his time as the hero may be coming to an end. When asked about this possibility, Cox assured fans he (hopefully) won’t be going anywhere.

“My knees are not what they were ten years ago, nor is my back…” Cox told Deadline in a recent interview. “…It’s a really physically demanding show, which I love. We wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s kind of what makes it what it is.”

“There will definitely come a time where I am not able to do it anymore, but for right now, [we’ll] just keep doing the best job we can and loving it. I feel incredibly grateful to still be making the show, and hopefully, we’ve got another 10 years in us.”

It’s fantastic to hear that Charlie Cox is optimistic about his future as Matt Murdock in the MCU. While Cox is far from the oldest actor in a Marvel project at the age of 41, Daredevil is certainly one of the most intensive when it comes to performing stunts, even with his own stuntman!

Charlie Cox Speaks On Kingpin Reunion

While fans are excited to see Charlie Cox back as Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again, that dial got cranked up to eleven when they realized the project would be the long-awaited reunion between him and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. However, according to D’Onofrio, the two only share a handful of scenes, stating “We don’t get to work together a lot.”

Charlie Cox was quick to assure fans that this was typical for their projects, only sharing a handful of scenes prior to Daredevil: Born Again as well. So while it’s a shame there won’t be an extensive reunion between Matt Murdock and Kingpin, especially given how the last season ended, the characters seem to be in great hands in the MCU.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere in March 2025 on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
