Details about Creature Commandos are finally starting to emerge! An official logo and synopsis for the DC Universe series are finally out to the public!
Despite being the first project to debut in James Gunn’s DC Universe, surprisingly little is known about Creature Commandos. Yet with the series finally set to debut this fall with a first look coming next month at the Annecy Film Festival, some tidbits are finally sneaking their way out. One of the most eye-catching is the project’s new logo, which can be seen below.
This logo is very similar to the one seen on the original art shown off for Creature Commandos. While the font is the same, the weathering on the paper strip is very different. This doesn’t reveal much about the DC Universe series, but it does show that James Gunn is taking time to make the project absolutely perfect before letting it release.
Creature Commandos Gets A New Synopsis
A new logo isn’t all fans got from Creature Commandos The series finally has an official synopsis, meaning fans no longer have to speculate about why or how the DC Universe’s first team was created. However, it seems that this series may be yet another version of The Suicide Squad.
“From executive producer and writer James Gunn, Creature Commandos is the upcoming Max Original animated event series, based on DC characters and produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, which follows Amanda Waller as she forms a black ops team out of monstrous prisoners.”
This synopsis tells fans two things about Creature Commandos. The first is that the series will take place in the modern day DC Universe, despite many fans speculating it may have taken place in the past. Secondly, it’s described as an “event series”, suggesting James Gunn has no plans to continue the project after its first season. Though given the amazing cast, fans should hope it’s not true!
