‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ Producer Confirms Fate Of Tom Welling’s Superman

Superman Smallville Tom Welling

A Crisis on Infinite Earths producer has confirmed the fate of Tom Welling’s Superman in the Smallville universe.

One of many actors from past DC projects to reprise their role in The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths was Tom Welling, who portrayed Clark Kent before he came Superman on Smallville for ten seasons. While many hoped to finally see Tom Welling don the Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths, it was revealed that the Smallville version of the Man of Steel gave up his powers to focus on raining his children with his wife Lois Lane.

Of course, even though the universe-destroying Ant-Monitor was defeated, the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths dramatically reshaped the DC Multiverse and left some fans wondering what became of Tom Welling’s Superman. During an interview with TVLine, Crisis on Infinite Earths producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed that Tom Welling’s Superman and the Smallville universe was restored, allowing the retired superhero to continue to living peacefully with his family:

“I can absolutely can confirm that they’re still alive, they’re still living their happy ending. Clark is getting the hero’s ending he deserves.”
