Is Spider-Man in Daredevil: Born Again? A new rumor seemingly leaks the webhead’s involvement in the upcoming Disney Plus series.
Ever since Marvel got the rights back to Daredevil, fans have been begging for him to team up with Spider-Man to clean up the mean streets of New York. While Matt Murdock did appear as Peter Parker’s lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the lack of action only made fans more hungry for the possibility, leaving Daredevil: Born Again as their last bastion of hope for the two to appear alongside one another.
Yet it seems Marvel’s messy web of legal rights ultimately prevented Spider-Man from making a cameo in Daredevil: Born Again, at least in season one. An older rumor suggested that the wallcrawler was originally meant to appear in the Disney Plus show, but Sony ultimately vetoed the decision due to the series not being as massive of a project as they would like.
How Spider-Man Plays Into Daredevil: Born Again
Luckily, Spider-Man isn’t entirely absent from Daredevil: Born Again. The newest rumor from scooper MyTimeToShineHello seemingly reveals the full involvement of the character in the Disney Plus series. Allegedly, a speech from Wilson Fisk as mayor derides citizens who rely on heroes, stating they need to move past those that “dress as a spider, a devil, or a psycho vigilante with a skull symbol,” with the spider clearly being a reference to Spider-Man.
This may be disappointing to fans hoping that Spider-Man would play a bigger role in Daredevil: Born Again. However, it’s clear that the Disney Plus series is simply laying the groundwork for the two heroes to unite on the silver screen. While Sony can block Spider-Man from appearing in other projects, they can’t exactly stop other heroes from appearing in his to take down a villain like Kingpin!
Daredevil: Born Again will release in March 4, 2025 on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
