Fans of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock have been eagerly awaiting his return in the MCU’s Daredevil: Born Again. However, a new rumor suggests that Nelson and Murdock may be no more.
Balancing the world of Matt Murdock’s lawyer work and his secret life of Daredevil is always a difficult act in any adaptation. While it seems as though Daredevil: Born Again is set to have plenty of scenes in the courtroom, it may not be how fans remember it. According to leaker CanWeGetSomeToast on Instagram, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock will be leaving behind Nelson and Murdock to start Murdock and Associates with Kirsten McDuffie (played by Nikki James).
While this lines up with what fans have heard about Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson not returning for Daredevil: Born Again, it is sad to hear that Matt Murdock will be moving on to a new firm, especially given how strong of a bond Charlie Cox’s version had to Nelson and Murdock in the Netflix show. While it’s unclear what kind of dynamic Kirsten McDuffie will have with Matt, or the chemistry Nikki James will have with Cox on set, this is a decision that’s certain to ruffle the feathers of plenty of fans.
What to expect from the new Daredevil series
Little is known of Daredevil: Born Again, with plot details being kept under wraps. Jon Bernthal, Sandrine Holt, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Nikki M. James and Michael Gaston are set to appear in the series opposite Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Matt Corman and Chris Ord are writing and executive producing for Marvel.
Daredevil: Born Again is currently scheduled to premiere in Spring 2024 on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
