Is Jon Bernthal officially back as The Punisher? A new set photo from Daredevil: Born Again teases the actor’s Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
It’s all but confirmed at this point that Jon Bernthal will return as The Punisher in the MCU. However, the actor himself seems to refuse to confirm that he’ll appear in Daredevil: Born Again, despite leaving multiple cryptic hints himself. Luckily, a new set photo from a fan seems to once again confirm his appearance in the series.
The set photo shows off Jon Bernthal with a busted lip, suggesting The Punisher will be getting down into some nasty business in the second half of Daredevil: Born Again. Either that or Bernthal got a little wild during the Easter holiday weekend! Though given the Easter Bunny’s history tangoing with comic anti-heroes, it wouldn’t be out of the question.
The Punisher’s Storyline In ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
While Jon Bernthal has yet to confirm his return as The Punisher, it seems a lot of Daredevil: Born Again‘s plot revolves around his character. An old rumor suggests the anti-hero will be hunting down dirty cops in the MCU that use his symbol and taking them down once and for all.
This was seemingly confirmed back in February 2024 with a different batch of set photos from Daredevil: Born Again. While the contents of those photos won’t be discussed in this article, it certainly seems Jon Bernthal will have his handful mopping up copycats of The Punisher in the MCU.
