One batch, two batch!

Jon Bernthal finally addresses his MCU return! A recent Instagram post by the actor teased The Punisher’s involvement in Daredevil: Born Again.

Jon Bernthal’s return in Daredevil: Born Again is one of the worst kept secrets in the MCU. From rumors to set photos, it’s been all but confirmed for months that The Punisher would return in the series, but Bernthal has refused to confirm it in any official capacity.

This changed recently thanks to a recent post on Jon Bernthal’s social media. While he didn’t directly mention Daredevil: Born Again, he did tease his return in the MCU with a picture showing off The Punisher’s iconic “One batch, two batch” line, all but confirming his involvement in some upcoming superhero project as Frank Castle.

Of course, this doesn’t give fans much to go on speculation wise. The Punisher never had anything similar to the “One Batch, Two Batch” line in the comics, so there isn’t much to pull from for his role in Daredevil: Born Again. This is most likely just a nod from Jon Bernthal that his return will stay true to the Netflix version of the character, which has recently been made canon to the MCU.

The Punisher’s Role In ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

Luckily for fans of Jon Bernthal’s take on the vigilante, it seems The Punisher will be playing a big role in Daredevil: Born Again. While the character doesn’t have his own show yet, it’s clear his return will be pivotal to the future of the MCU’s street level heroes.

While spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again won’t be directly mentioned, recent set photos reveal that The Punisher will have a direct tie to a death that will have implications across the MCU’s Disney Plus shows. If rumors are to be believed, Jon Bernthal will continue to act on the side of good, even if others misunderstand his mission.

The Punisher will also likely be involved in some heavy action sequences. Early last year Jon Bernthal posted videos at a gun range, likely training for his role in Daredevil: Born Again prior to the show’s creative reboot. While it’s possible some of the more violent sequences have been cut, it certainly seems that the character won’t be toned down for the MCU.

Daredevil: Born Again currently has no release date for Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
