Daredevil: Born Again is coming back sooner than fans think! The showrunner confirms the official release window for season 2 of the Disney Plus series.
To say that Daredevil: Born Again was a hit for Disney Plus would be an understatement. While the middle of the season did have a minor slump in regards to fan perception, the final two episodes built more hype than some of the movies Marvel has been releasing in recent years. Suffice to say, fans are already hungry for season 2.
However, given Marvel’s history with taking years to even consider bringing back a Disney Plus show, fans weren’t optimistic about season 2 coming out soon, even if it is currently filming. Heck, Ironheart is two years out from wrapping filming and still isn’t released! However, it seems that Daredevil: Born Again may be breaking the curse that plagued even its former incarnation.
When Will Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Release?
To celebrate the absolutely insane finale to Daredevil: Born Again, showrunner Dario Scardapane put out a post on Instagram reflecting on his journey with the project. In his reflection, he gave fans a quick shot of relief by confirming the release window for season 2. Turns out, Daredevil will return to Disney Plus in less than a year in March of 2026.
“It’s all led up to this… Such a mix of emotions as we close out S1. So grateful for the cast, crew and studio for their confidence and indulgence. Biggest of thanks to Sana, Brad, Kevin, Lou, Aaron, Justin, Charlie, Vincent, Deb, Jon and the whole mad circus. And yeah, Season 2 March 2026.”
Given even the Netflix incarnation of the series often had multi-year waits between seasons, it’s shocking that Daredevil: Born Again will be able to release season 2 within a year of its initial outing on Disney Plus. This not even to consider The Punisher special that’s set to release sometime before then, and also hasn’t even started filming. It’ll certainly be impressive to see how Marvel can maneuver this, and how it affects their plans going forward.
