Daredevil season 3 has finally arrived and some Eagle-eyed fans have already found awesome Easter eggs, including a surprising reference to two different versions of Spider-Man, Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
Daredevil on Netflix has brought many iconic Marvel characters to the small screen. Outside of Daredevil himself, aka Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), the series has brought characters like Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), Elektra (Elodie Yung), and Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) to life. Now it turns out that two more iconic Marvel characters made an appearance in the most recent season of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’s solo series, but not in the way you’d be expecting.
A Marvel fan with the username Peter Quill took to Reddit to point out the Easter egg, which appears in episode 13 of the third season of Daredevil. In a scene featuring Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), on the wall behind her is a poster for a boxing match, whether it be upcoming or something that has happened in the past, and it features two boxers named Parker and Morales, which is, of course, a reference to two of the most iconic Spider-Men in the Marvel universe. The Netflix Marvel shows rode on the coat tails of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in their early years but the shows have now effectively carved out their own little universe in the crowded comic book adaptation market. Though the early seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones hint at characters and events from the MCU, the films themselves have yet to make the official connection between the two universes.
Though fans would love to see Spider-Man, whether it be Peter Parker or Miles Morales, swinging around Hell’s Kitchen in search of the Kingpin, nothing of the sort has been announced just yet and fans will have to settle for this small cameo until then. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Daredevil season 3 and Spider-Man as soon as more information becomes available. Are you a fan of Daredevil season 3? Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.
Daredevil season 3 stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Wilson Bethel, Jay Ali, and Lesley Ann Warren.
