David Corenswet still looks fantastic as Superman! A new look at the star has been revealed in the latest batch of merch for the DC Universe.
For as spoiled as fans have been with all of the announcements about the DC Universe, they’ve also been kept on a rather strict diet. Despite Superman wrapping filming last year, James Gunn and Peter Safran have been extraordinarily stingy with giving fans anything new regarding the project. This even extends to David Corenswet who, despite getting the most promotion out of any of the cast, has had his ads limited to two trailers, a poster, two promo images, and a short teaser.
Luckily, in the wake of Krypto’s Puppy Bowl takeover, Superman fans are finally getting some crumbs. Specifically, from merch to tie-in to the DC Universe debut. A new look at David Corenswet as the Man of Steel can be seen on the packaging of a toy featuring his Superdog. While not too different to what fans have seen before, it is very much a unique pose that hasn’t been seen in any promotional materials so far.

Superman Promotions Are Picking Up
This merch leak may be the start of the end for the Superman drought. Not one, but two new promotional spots were revealed for the DC Universe during the Puppy Bowl this weekend. This includes new looks at Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner (highlighting his ridiculous haircut), and David Corenswet’s cutest co-star: Krypto the Superdog.

Fans can likely expect the next full trailer for Superman to drop sometime in March or April, with the DC Universe film then going dormant once more until sometime in June. Though this means that new looks at David Corenswet and the rest of the cast can be expected to trickle out over the next few months, especially as merch for the project officially enter production and hit store shelves.
Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
