The new trailer for Once Upon A Deadpool included a joke at the expense of Fox and the studio’s Marvel films.
Deadpool 2 will return to theaters this holiday season with a PG-13 version that includes new footage of a kidnapped Fred Savage being told the film’s story by the titular hero. Now, 20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for the re-release that concludes with Savage telling the Merc with a Mouth that he prefers Marvel movies. When Deadpool reminds the actor that ‘we are Marvel,’ Savage responds with a dig at the studio: “Yeah, but you’re… you know, Marvel licensed by Fox. It’s like if The Beatles were produced by Nickelback. It’s music, but it sucks.”
Once Upon a Deadpool will be released in theaters on December 12 for a limited engagement that concludes on Christmas Eve.
