Former Superman actor Dean Cain revealed that he’d love to see Zack Snyder’s Justice League and praised Henry Cavill’s performance as the Man of Steel.

Fans have seen a number of actors play Superman across film and teleivision over the years, but one of the most loved versions of the hero was played by Dean Cain in Lois & Clark: The New Superman Adventures. Recently, a fan asked the Superman actor what he thinks of Henry Cavill’s performance in the DC Extended Universe and if he supports Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut, which will arrive on HBO Max sometime next year.

Dean Cain responded to the fan and praised Henry Cavill’s work in the role, saying he thinks the star did a great job. However, the star pointed out that the DCEU Superman is a little too dark in places than the version he prefers. He also said that he’d love to see the Snyder Cut. Since Cain’s Superman was a light-hearted, family friendly version of the hero, it isn’t surprising that he’s not keen on the darker Kryptonian.

What do you think about Dean Cain’s Superman? Are you excited to see Zack Snyder’s original vision for Justice League next year? Sound-off in the comments below!

Here’s the official synopsis for Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
