Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ Movie Gets An Official Logo

The official logo for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune has surfaced online shortly after the first look at the film was revealed earlier this morning.

After fans recently got their first look at Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, the official logo for the science-fiction epic also surfaced online. Fans are already anticipating the extended look at the film being released by Vanity Fair tomorrow, April 14. With the film set to release on December 18 later this year, it’s also hard not to wonder if a trailer will arrive sooner rather than later.

The film will see Timothée Chalamet star as Paul Atreides, who travels to the desert planet Arrakis with his family after they become the new stewards of the world so they can control the Spice, which grants superhuman abilities and fuels space travel. The new logo was discovered was revealed on the film’s official Twitter account, which launched today. The logo features a lunar eclipse, highlighting the film’s title. For the moment, it isn’t clear how extensive the next look at the film will be, but fans are excited nonetheless. Take a look at the Dune logo below.

Denis Villeneuve is also helming the pilot of the Dune: The Sisterhood television series for Warner Bros. in addition to serving as an executive producer on the project. A release date for the HBO Max Dune series has yet to be announced.
