After a turbulent journey to the screen, Disney has given Josh Boone’s The New Mutants another new release date.
Josh Boone’s The New Mutants has had one of the most difficult journeys to theaters since 2017, falling at the final hurdle with a number of other 2020 releases thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. Fans were beginning to think that the final X-Men film from the Fox era was doomed. But Disney has finally announced a new date for The New Mutants later this summer.
The mutant horror film will arrive on August 28 later this year, with the Twitter account for the Marvel film revealing the new date with the stunning poster showing the team. The tweet succinctly summed up the announcement with a simple “we’re back”. Hopefully the current situation subsides and theaters will be safe once again so fans can finally get to see the Josh Boone film. Take a look at the tweet below.
