Disney has removed Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars movie Rogue Squadron from their release calendar, while Snow White has landed a release date of March 22, 2024.
Disney is making some changes to their release calendar. As dates for the company’s upcoming releases are being moved around, Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars entry has been dropped from the calendar altogether, having so far been unable to begin production.
Snow White, starring Rachel Zegler, has been added to the release calendar alongside Inside Out 2 and Mufasa: The Lion King.
Disney’s Date Changes
Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron had been slated for release in December 2023, but was dropped from Disney’s production schedule in 2021, meaning there was very little time for the film to be completed by its release date.
It is not surprising to see Rogue Squadron has been removed from the release calendar, as plans for its production remain unclear. Following poor responses to Lucasfilm’s last Star Wars theatrical release, The Rise of Skywalker, work seems to have slowed on all of the studio’s future Star Wars film plans.
While Rogue Squadron may be struggling to get off the ground, things are looking up for Rachel Zegler’s Snow White. The latest live-action Disney remake to be announced, the film is now set to arrive in March 2024.
Snow White will be closely followed by Inside Out 2 on June 14, 2024 and Mufasa: The Lion King on July 5, 2024.
Here is the synopsis for Disney’s next Star Wars project, Andor:

The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.”
