The return of the Eternals might’ve been teased in a recent TV spot for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Following Chloe Zhao’s Eternals, it’s unclear when the heroes will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe next. However, an eagle-eyed fan on Twitter recently spotted something in a TV spot that could hint at a possible Eternals appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Sam Raimi’s Multiverse of Madness is rumored to include various surprise appearances in the film, but an Eternals appearance is something that hasn’t been out there. On Twitter, @GodEmperorBoss noticed a detail in the background of a TV spot that looks similar to an Eternals logo. You can see the shot for yourself below.

Despite Eternals being the worst-reviewed Marvel Studios film, a return has been promised but the only one that seems like a given at the moment is Black Knight showing up in Blade based on the post-credits scene. Films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might be the best bet for an Eternals return given their setting.

Here is the synopsis for the upcoming film:

The MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Directed by Sam Raimi from a script written by Michael Waldron, the Marvel movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stuhlbarg, Rachel McAdams, and Patrick Stewart.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 6, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming sequel, the future of the Eternals in the MCU, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
