A new synopsis for the upcoming film Dune: Part Two has been revealed teasing Paul Atreides’ path of revenge.

Last year Dune was released in theaters and in HBO Max at the same time. While it wasn’t the biggest hit of the year nor Warner Bros’ biggest movie of 2021, it still did decently enough. Ultimately it went on to earn over $400M at the worldwide box office, was a hit on the streaming service, and Part Two was quickly put into development.

Since the film was announced, Dune: Part Two has steadily been filling out its cast. Florence Pugh joined the film as Princess Irulan with Christopher Walken portraying her father, Emperor Shaddam IV. Elvis star Austin Butler will also play Feyd-Rautha in the upcoming movie. But it appears that Paul Atreides will be out for all of their blood if the new synopsis is anything to go on.

Earlier today, the official synopsis for Dune: Part Two was released, teasing Paul’s warpath of revenge. You can see the full synopsis below:

This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

Here is the synopsis for Dune:

Set in the distant future, Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides whose family accepts control of the desert planet Arrakis. As the only producer of a highly valuable resource, control of Arrakis is highly contested among the noble families. After Paul and his family are betrayed, the story explores themes of politics, religion, and man’s relationship to nature as Paul leads a rebellion to restore his family’s control of Arrakis.

Denis Villeneuve directed Dune from a script he co-wrote with Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts. The film stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, and David Dastmalchian.

Dune is now available on home media formats, with Part Two hitting theaters on October 20, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
