‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ Drops First Trailer At San Diego Comic-Con

Welcome to the party!

Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves Title Card Teaser Trailer

During the film’s presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, the first trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was revealed.

The film is based on the popular Dungeons & Dragons fantasy tabletop role-playing game. Honor Among Thieves will be the fourth live-action film to be based on the RPG, following a previous trilogy that was released between 2000 and 2012. Only the first film in that trilogy was released in theaters.

The film stars Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page and Michelle Rodriguez in a lighthearted reboot of the live-action Dungeons & Dragons franchise.

Roll For Initiative

The first trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was unveiled in San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H during a panel this afternoon.

The trailer introduces fans to the film’s party of heroes, including Chris Pratt’s bard, Justice Smith’s wizard and Michelle Rodriguez’s battle-axe-wielding character, as well as Hugh Grant’s villainous Forge Fletcher.

Following the trailer’s release at Comic-Con, it has now been shared online. Check out the first trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves below, along with the film’s official poster.

Star Chris Pine has previously hinted at the film’s less serious approach to the source material, referencing films such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail and The Princess Bride, as well as Game of Thrones, as sources of inspiration. Anyone who has ever played D&D would probably have to concede the comedic direction is a fairer reflection of how campaigns usually end up playing out.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Hugh Grant, and Regé-Jean Page. The film is directed by  Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who also co-wrote the film.

The film is set to hit cinemas on March 3, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons film, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content in the future.
