A new magazine cover spotlights Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam in a new image that sees the antihero illuminated by lightning bolts.

Black Adam arrives in theaters next month and the anticipation for DC’s latest movie is high. The film will introduce Dwayne Johnson’s Teth-Adam to the DCEU, an antihero who will find himself caught between the heroes of the Justice Society of America and the demonic Sabbac.

With the film’s release date rapidly approaching, promotion has been ramping up for the Dwayne Johnson’s first DC outing and the latest image offers a flavor of Black Adam’s power.

Dwayne Johnson can be seen suited up as DC’s Black Adam on the cover of the latest issue of French film magazine Première.

The image shows DC’s Man in Black standing suited up before a lightning bolt, with its electrical energy crackling against his costume. Trailers have teased Black Adam’s power, showing him commanding lightning as he takes to the skies.

With less than a month to go until the film’s theatrical release, DC fans don’t have long to wait to see Dwayne Johnson in action in the DCEU. Black Adam is expected to clash with both the Justice Society and Sabbac, but whether he will end up as hero or villain is yet to be seen.

Here is the synopsis for Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam:

“Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.”

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a script written by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, the DCEU film stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan.
