A new television spot for Black Adam teases a showdown between Dwayne Johnson’s anti-hero and the Justice Society of America.
With just a couple more weeks until Black Adam arrives in theaters across the globe, Warner Bros. has dropped an action-packed TV spot for the latest DC Comics movie starring Dwayne Johnson. The project marks the big screen debut of Black Adam and the Justice Society of America, with reports claiming that is also features the return of Henry Cavill’s Superman.
Black Adam vs The JSA
The latest Black Adam spot shows the titular character fighting against members of the Justice Society of America, including Hawkman and Atom Smasher. The JSA characters have been heavily featured throughout the marketing campaign of the movie, but there’s been no sign of Superman so far. You can check out the spot below.
During a recent interview, Dwayne Johnson opened up about the fight scenes between Black Adam and the Justice Society of America characters. It’s the first time these comic book characters will be going head-to-head against each other in a live-action format, so with the movie opening later this month, excitement is at an all-time high.
“You have a couple of seasoned veterans, like Hawkman and Doctor Fate, and you have a couple of newbies like Atom Smasher and Cyclone,” Johnson said. “That chemistry, and coming together to try to defeat someone who’s undefeatable like Black Adam, creates a lot of interesting situations without having the pressure to carry the whole movie. “
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a script written by by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui and Pierce Brosnan.
Black Adam arrives in theaters on October 21, 2022. Be sure to continue following us for all the latest news regarding the film and to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
