New ‘Black Adam’ Poster Shows Dwayne Johnson’s Antihero With The JSA

Black Adam and the JSA join forces!

Justice League Dwayne Johnson Black Adam

A new poster for Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming DC movie Black Adam shows the antihero alongside the members of the Justice Society of America.

The first trailer for Black Adam offered fans an initial glimpse of the JSA heroes in action when it landed online earlier this month. The new poster offers a fresh look at Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate, Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell’s Cyclone and Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher, alongside Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.

DC’s New Super Team

In DC comics, Black Adam has been both an antihero and a supervillain, typically depicted as a nemesis of Shazam, who gained his powers from the same wizard as Black Adam. Dwayne Johnson’s iteration of the character appears to be sticking closer to the antihero aspect of his character – in this first appearance at least – and while he may initially clash with the JSA, it looks likely he ultimately join forces with them to combat a greater threat.

The new poster features the film’s central heroes set against Black Adam’s signature lightning bolt emblem. Check out the new poster for the upcoming DC film below:

It is not known whether the film will see Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam remain an ally to the Justice Society, or whether he will ultimately give in to his more villainous nature. The trailer showed the antihero was unwilling to play by the JSA’s rules and has no qualms when it comes to killing his enemies. Only time will tell where Black Adam’s cinematic fate lies.

Here is the synopsis for the DCEU film, Black Adam:
