Two new magazine covers promoting Black Adam showcase Dwayne Johnson suited up as DC’s powerful antihero.

Black Adam‘s October release is steadily drawing closer and nobody has been a more vocal proponent for the film than its star, Dwayne Johnson. The actor took to social media to share the two new magazine covers showing him looking all-powerful as DC’s legendary antihero.

While one cover shows Black Adam radiating magical energy, the other depicts him with the members of the Justice Society of America.

The two Black Adam covers adorn the upcoming issue of Total Film magazine. The first cover will be available to all, while the second black and yellow variant is the subscriber edition.

The standard cover also includes a quote from Dwayne Johnson, in which he refers to Black Adam as “a departure from anything that I’ve played before.” Not only is Black Adam a new direction for Johnson, it represents a new direction for DC, following a character who is neither fully a hero nor a villain.

Black Adam will see Dwayne Johnson’s Teth-Adam encountering the Justice Society of America, who feature on the first cover shown above. Black Adam is expected to face off and join forces with the JSA, though whether he will end the film as their ally or enemy is yet to be seen.

Here is the synopsis for Black Adam:
