Ed Skrein On Possible Return As Ajax In ‘Deadpool 3’

Ed Skrein remains a big fan!

Ed Skrein Deadpool 3 Ajax

Ed Skrein, who played the villain Ajax in the first Deadpool movie ponders the possibility of returning in Deadpool 3.

Earlier this week, news that lit the internet on fire involved the announcement that Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated Deadpool 3 would not only feature the return of one Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth, but also the return of Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine for the first time since 2017. While some fans were caught off-guard by the welcome announcement, it’s likely that this will have no effect on how Logan ended, given that it was always an elseworlds story of its own. With the return of one beloved character, some are curious as to whether or not other characters will be returning, such as Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, or even Ed Skrein as Ajax.

For those who don’t remember, Ajax was the primary antagonist of the original film, and Wade Wilson ends up shooting him at the end. A return from him in Deadpool 3 seems highly unlikely, but when asked about the possibility from ComicBookMovie.com, Ed Skrein said the following:

“Listen, I’ve got all the comics where he comes back with the suit, the things that fly out of them, the teeth, and the eyes, and everything. I think he ends up getting strangled by Deadpool in the bottom of a river to really die.”

Ed Skrein is happy to be a fan for Deadpool 3.

When asked about his thoughts on Deadpool 3 itself, Ed Skrein had this to say:

“These things are…it was a privilege to be part of number one, dude. I would be so happy to leave it as what it is. It would be the happiest thing ever to just move on and I’d be super happy to go back. It’s all love and it’s all good. They’ve got a great team between Hugh, Ryan, and Shawn. They’ve got an incredible team. I’ll be there in the first week with my popcorn and I’ll just be there as a fan.”

Here’s the official synopsis for Deadpool 2:
