Is the Scarlet Witch finally on her way back to the MCU? Elizabeth Olsen speaks on making her return to the iconic superhero role.
Given how heavily Agatha All Along relied on the story of Wandavision, many fans were convinced that Elizabeth Olsen would make a cameo before the series end. Yet with another MCU project come and gone, fans are starting to wonder if they’ve truly seen the last of the Scarlet Witch. Luckily, it seems Olsen still has some desire to return to her most iconic role sometime in the future.
“Well, honestly, if I were to tell you exactly what I would want I think I would maybe be spoiling something,” Olsen teased during a recent convention visit. “Kevin Feige genuinely asks us what we want to do with the character and then he does it, so I don’t know if I can share. I just want to come back.”
Given the cryptic nature of her statement, it’s not exactly clear what MCU project Elizabeth Olsen could be spoiling here. However, given she’s worried at all, there’s a fairly good chance that there are talks of the Scarlet Witch rising from the grave to make their return in a future project. The only question truly is how soon she’ll be appearing, and if Wandavision stans will be able to wait that long!
When Will Elizabeth Olsen Return To The MCU?
When talking about when any actor will make their return to the MCU, all eyes immediately turn to the upcoming Avengers duology to cap off the multiverse saga. All signs point to them being some of the biggest movies of all time, bringing back actors from across Marvel’s history. It wouldn’t be shocking if Elizabeth Olsen made an appearance as Scarlet Witch, even in spite of currently being deceased.
There are also rumors of a Scarlet Witch solo film being in the works for the MCU. While it may be a bit jarring to announce her character’s return prior to being resurrected, the sheer amount of projects revolving around Elizabeth Olsen’s hero in recent years suggest something big must be coming as a payoff. Though given a Vision series hasn’t even started rolling yet, it may be quite some time before it actually comes to life.
