Elizabeth Olsen’s WandaVision is still scheduled for this year despite a previous report saying it had been pushed back.

The start of Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 was originally going to begin with Black Widow back in May, but it has now been pushed back to November. Due to the interconnected storyline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this has pushed back all Marvel Studios projects which now includes television shows. It was also recently revealed that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will not be coming out in August on Disney Plus since there’s still more filming that needs to be completed. Elizabeth Olsen’s WandaVision is expected to follow The Falcon and the Winter Solider, but seems to be further along production wise which could change the Phase 4 slate.

While WandaVision still has additional filming to do, it’s currently unclear if it’s for reshoots or to finish principal photography. Regardless, it was previously reported that the Elizabeth Olsen-led series was pushed back to spring 2021, but The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit has since corrected the story and shared on Twitter that WandaVision is still slated for this year.

Here is the official synopsis for WandaVision:

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Directed by Matt Shakman with Jac Schaeffer as head writer, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role.

WandaVision is set to premiere on Disney Plus in 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for exclusive video content!
