Is Elodie Yung coming back for Daredevil: Born Again? The Elektra actress speaks on if she has any plans to return in season 2 of the series.
There have been a lot of characters floated to appear in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, from any member of The Defenders to Spider-Man himself. However, perhaps the most obvious character that may make their return is Elektra. The character sits into a similar realm as The Punisher where, despite being a standalone hero, they originated in and played a large role in the original Daredevil series. However, unlike Jon Bernthal, there’s been no sign of Elodie Yung making a return as her character.
However, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t interest in Elodie Yung. When speaking to the website POC Culture, the actress was asked if she had any interest in reprising her role in Daredevil: Born Again season 2. Yung revealed that she’d love to return as Elektra, though suggests Marvel hasn’t made the call yet.
“Oh absolutely. That was one of the greatest characters that I had to play. We’ll see. If they call me, I will respond for sure. It’s just so much fun.”
Will Elektra Be In Daredevil: Born Again?
With season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again well underway with filming, it’s likely that fans will know if Elodie Yung will return as Elektra sooner rather than later. The odds are also looking good, as set photos suggests that the project may adapt the Shadowlands storyline, a comic in which Elektra played a decently sized role.
However, the biggest reason fans want Elektra in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is clearly to revive Foggy Nelson. Elodie Yung’s heroine was already brought back from the dead in the Netflix series. And, given the truth about Foggy’s death may lead Matt down a dark path, having her return to bring the character back to life would be an interesting full-circle moment.
