‘The Falcon & And The Winter Soldier’ & Other Marvel Studios Shows Preparing To Resume Filming

A new report has revealed that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and more Marvel Studios shows are gearing up to resume filming in Atlanta.

Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was originally set to debut on the Disney Plus streaming service this month, but the series won’t make its original premiere date due to the ongoing pandemic. With a few more weeks of work left, Marvel Studios is now getting ready to resume production on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and the rest of its Disney Plus projects.

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki are preparing to restart production in Atlanta. The site also reports that Jeremy Renner’s Hawkwye series is currently in pre-production in the area, with reports claiming that the project could begin shooting sometime in October.

“Marvel Studios crews returned to work this week in Atlanta to begin preparation for the resumption (or in some cases the beginning) of filming. Crews for The Falcon and The Winter Solider, Loki and Hawkeye moved back into town and got the ball rolling again on the three upcoming Marvel Studios Disney Plus streaming series, joining the crew for the Untitled Spider-Man Sequel, which had previously begun prep work.”

WandaVision, another Marvel Studios series that is still on track for a 2020 release on Disney Plus, is absent from the list because its reshoots are taking place in Los Angeles. The project wrapped principal photography back in March.

Here is the official synopsis for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier:

Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, the series stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent. Actors Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills, and Carl Lumbly have also been cast.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus in August 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content in the future!
