Set videos from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have presumably revealed brand new villains.
One of the most anticipated projects coming from Marvel this year is The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The series will see Falcon and The Winter Soldier teaming up after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which radically changed the playing field that is the MCU. The series also has some pretty heavy expectations on it as it’s also the first Marvel project dropping on Disney Plus.
Many fans were concerned at first that the characters of Falcon and the Winter Soldier wouldn’t get the love they deserve because they were getting a Disney Plus show. It’s a fair concern to have as television series have much a lower production value than theatrical releases. However, these brand new set videos which come courtesy of Murphy’s Multiverse prove that Disney and Marvel aren’t skimping on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
In these set videos, we see the stakes that both characters are working with in their upcoming solo outings. The sequence that was filmed takes place during the 2023 G20 Summit, where a hostage situation seems to have ensued. U.S. Agent arrives on the scene, only to be met by four female villains. As the videos continue, Falcon and the Winter Soldier free up the G20 leaders and then join U.S. Agent.
In this first video from the set of the MCU series, two armoured vehicles are stopped and four people are running towards them. The quality is admittedly subpar, but the four folks are female and wearing masks. One of the villains has bright, red hair.
The second video from the set gives us a look at U.S. Agent fighting the four women.
The final video from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier set shows Winter Soldier helping U.S. Agent after the G20 hostages were liberated.
These set videos are exceptionally cool and also give us a solid look as to how the production of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is going. There aren’t any details as to who these four female villains are, but speculation has been wild. Some believe the red-haired individual is Screaming Mimi, who eventually becomes Songbird. Songbird, of course, had her origins with the female group The Grapplers. And how many members did The Grapplers have? Four! While it hasn’t been confirmed that The Grapplers are terrorizing Falcon and Winter Soldier, they do seem to be a safe bet!
