The video was posted by the actors friend and frequent collaborator Kevin Smith. In the video, Affleck apologizes for not making it to the live recording of Fatman Beyond as well as gushes about the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League:
I just want to say, I’m sorry I couldn’t make it on there live, but I’m very excited that Zack’s getting a chance to finally see his vision realized, I think it’s a great thing, I’m really excited for the fans to get to see it. And I want to say thank you to the fans, because is was their enthusiasm and their passion that made this happen. Without the fan support, I don’t think it would’ve happened. But I love Zack, I love his version of the movie, and I look forward to everyone getting a chance to see it.
It’s currently unclear if Ben Affleck or his co-stars will return for reshoots on Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but a new report from The Hollywood Reporter states that many of the actors will return to record additional dialogue. It is also uncertain whether the end product will be a four hour film or a six episode series on HBO Max. One things for sure, Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be a totally different film than the one released in 2017.
Here’s the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
