Gal Gadot teases her villainous role as the Evil Queen in the upcoming live-action remake of Snow White.
In 2016, Gal Gadot became a superstar thanks to her role as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and cemented it with the solo Wonder Woman film. While the state of the DCEU seems to be in constant flux, Gadot will reportedly return for future films. In the meantime, however, the actress is keeping her options open.
A Fun Role For Gal Gadot
Late last year, it was officially revealed that Gal Gadot would be playing the Evil Queen in a live-action remake of Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Production for the film wrapped up in late spring but the film currently does not have an official release date. While speaking to Comicbook.com, the actress revealed how much fun she had playing the role and teased how evil the character would be:
“First of all, [did I] have fun with it? I loved playing this character. It’s one of the characters that I enjoyed playing the most. She is evil. She is deeply [makes evil gestures], you know? She has this dark side and the dynamic relationship – and what Snow White gets out of her is very… [looks menacingly]. Just wait.”
Directed by The Amazing Spider-Man helmer Mark Webb, Snow White stars Gal Gadot as The Evil Queen, Rachel Zegler as Snow White, Andrew Burnap as a new character named Johnathan, and Martin Klebba as Grumpy. The film is being produced by Marc Platt from a script by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson.
The upcoming Snow White remake is currently set to be released sometime in 2024. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming film and Gal Gadot’s role in it and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
