Warner Bros. is once again moving the release date of Gal Gadot’s upcoming film, Wonder Woman 1984, pushing the film back to October of 2020.
Since the coronavirus began ravaging the world, every major summer release was pushed back in some way. Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984 was also affected by this and was originally set to be released in June of 2020. The film was originally delayed until August 14th but now Warner Bros seems to be reshuffling its film deck once again.
Earlier today, it was announced that Warner Bros’ other major summer tentpole, Tennet, was being delayed until the end of July. Now Wonder Woman 1984 has been moved out of the summer season altogether for a fall release date. The film is now set the be released on October 2nd of this year making it the fourth time the film has been delayed.

Full details on the Wonder Woman 1984 plot are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to follow Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince as she comes into conflict with a formidable new adversary named Cheetah and businessman Maxwell Lord. Wonder Woman was last seen in Zack Snyder’s DC superhero team-up movie Justice League.
Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.
