‘Game of Thrones’ Fans Raising Money For Emilia Clarke’s Charity

Many Game of Thrones fans despised season 8, but a new campaign called “Justice For Daenerys” is raising money for Emilia Clarke’s charity SameYou.

The fund was organized by members of the r/freefolk Reddit community. Since the “Justice for Daenerys” fundraiser started last week, the campaign has raised 90% of its goal and over £90,000. All proceeds will be going to SameYou, a brain injury rehabilitation charity Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke launched back in March.

Emilia Clarke showed her gratitude for the “Justice for Daenerys” campaign in an Instagram post on Thursday. You can check out the post below.

Emilia Clarke, who played the iconic Daenerys Targaryen, launched a brain injury rehab charity a few months before the final season of Game of Thrones. She also penned a personal essay revealing her struggles with two life-threatening brain aneurysms she suffered during the earlier seasons on the show.

In the Game of Thrones “Justice for Daenerys” fundraiser, the fans praise Emilia Clarke, saying the following:

“Emilia Clarke’s incredible Emmy-worthy acting and dedication to her character has inspired thousands and, as each season passed, we fell more and more in love with Dany.”

This fundraiser is a far cry from the currently active petitions asking for a rewrite of season 8.
