George Clooney On Potentially Playing Batman Again In Ezra Miller’s ‘The Flash’

Return of the Bat-Nipples?

George Clooney Ezra Miller The Flash Batman

George Clooney recently responded to whether or not he would join Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck by also reprising his Batman role in Ezra Miller’s The Flash.

We are about to enter a brand-new era of comic book movies where the possibilities appear to be endless. More specifically, actors from previous incarnations returning thanks to the multiverse. So far, Jamie Foxx is set to reprise his role as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for the third film in the Tom Holland series while Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck are about to play Batman once again in Ezra Miller’s The Flash. The Flash solo film is about to feature two Batmen, so why not add another with George Clooney’s version?

It’s no secret that George Clooney loathes Batman & Robin for obvious reasons, but playing the Dark Knight once again in The Flash could redeem himself. During a recent interview with Empire, Clooney shared his excitement for Michael Keaton returning in Ezra Miller’s solo film, but doesn’t see himself donning the cape and cowl again anytime soon:

“[Laughs] It’s funny – you’ll notice they didn’t call me! Somehow I didn’t get that call. They did not ask for my nipples. Listen, there are certain things you never know. This one, I know [laughs].”

The upcoming solo film will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash stars Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, and Billy Crudup.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3rd, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the DC Extended Universe and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
