Legendary’s ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ Adds Rebecca Hall & Eiza González

Godzilla vs King Kong Eiza González Legendar

Deadline reports that Baby Driver star Eiza González has joined Legendary’s Godzilla vs. Kong while Variety has learned that Rebecca Hall has also been added to the cast.

Two of cinema’s greatest monsters will clash in Legendary’s upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong and both Eiza González and Rebecca Hall have closed deals to star in the MonsterVerse film. Details on González and Hall’s roles are currently unknown, though they will star opposite Julian Dennison, Alexander Skarsgård, Brian Tyree Henry, Demian Bichir, and Millie Bobby Brown.

Godzilla vs. Kong is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 22, 2020.

Before squaring off against the Eighth Wonder of the World, the King of the Monsters will return for a sequel to his most recent standalone U.S. film.

Following the global success of “Godzilla” and “Kong: Skull Island” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Directed by Michael Dougherty, Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., with Ken Watanabe and Ziyi Zhang.

Godzilla: The King of the Monsters will be released in theaters on May 31, 2019.
