Director Danny Cannon revealed when the Gotham Knights series pilot would begin filming along with its logo.
Gotham Knights is the next DC series in development from The CW. Batwoman writers Natalie Abrams, James Stoteraux, and Chad Fiveash are penning Gotham Knights with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden serving as executive producers.
The CW project does not correlate with the upcoming game from WB Games Montréal and isn’t a Batwoman spin-off. The show was announced in December, and on Instagram, director Danny Cannon revealed filming on the pilot would start in April. Cannon is best known for his work on Gotham and Pennyworth. The director also shared the logo for the pilot, which you can see below.

With the pilot starting principal photography in April, that means we can expect to hear about casting for the Bat-Family soon. Based on the show’s premise, it sounds like Jason Todd will be the main focus, but Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon, Damian Wayne, and others could also appear in the series if greenlit.
Here is the premise for The CW’s Gotham Knights:
In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.
