‘Gotham Knights’ Reveals Misha Collins’ Two-Face Transformation In Finale

The dawn of Two-Face!

Gotham Knights Misha Collins Two-Face

Gotham Knights ended its short, one-season run on Τhe CW with its recent finale. The episode threw fans of the original DC comics a bone by finally transforming the Misha Collins vesion of Harvey Dent into the iconic Batman villain Two-Face.

Perhaps more than any other CW show, Gotham Knights served as a massive departure from its DC comics source material. Many characters only shared passing resemblance to their original incarnations, if they even had counterparts at all. The most comic-accurate performance of the show came from the fan-favorite Harvey Dent, played by Supernatural alum Misha Collins. While the show’s first and only season never saw him act as Two-Face, the finale did add in some fan service by completing his transformation at the hands of a member of the Court of Owls.

While it’s a shame fans of Gotham Knights won’t be able to see Misha Collins truly grow into the role of Two-Face after a season of mostly Harvey Dent, the show’s mediocre ratings, even when compared to other CW shows like Superman & Lois, all but doomed the series to a short run.

A Death In The Family

The plot synopsis of Gotham Knights reads as follows: “In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.”

Written by Batwoman’s Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams, the series stars Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, and Rahart Adams as Brody.
