The Russo Brothers are also developing a Hercules remake and according to Deadline, Disney has chosen Guy Richie to direct. Guy Ritchie previously directed Disney’s recent Aladdin remake starring Will Smith, which surpassed a billion dollars at the box office. A sequel to the 2019 film and a spin-off series are both in the works.
