A new red band trailer for Season 3 of Harley Quinn has just landed online, bringing with it a wave of bloody violence and obscenities.
The animated Harley Quinn stars The Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco as the titular DC supervillain, who has recently entered a relationship with Lake Bell’s Poison Ivy. The third season looks set to explore their relationship further, while also taking advantage of the series’ more adult tone.
The new red band trailer teases a shocking mic-drop moment from Commissioner Gordon, a surprising new masterplan from the Joker and a new supervillain who probably wouldn’t make it into the pages of DC comics.
Harley Quinn Gets Her Hands Dirty
The new Harley Quinn Season 3 trailer reintroduces a host of supervillains in a whirlwind of F-bombs, including Harley, Ivy, King Shark, Clayface, the Joker, Clock King and more.
The trailer sees Harley unfortunately missing the “L” in Clock King’s name, leading the villain to tell her she’s thinking of “the other guy,” pointing out a villain who’s wearing a strategically placed cannon.
It’s also revealed that the Joker is running for mayor, apparently opposite Jim Gordon. Gotham’s old police commissioner is seen giving a speech that ends with him telling a heckler “No, f*** you!” as he flips him off. It’s a wild ride into DC’s darker side and can be seen in the tweet below:
The trailer also shows a lot of love for “Harlivy” from King Shark and other villains, as well as apparently teasing Nightwing shockingly killing a man. With plenty of blood splatter and obscenities, this trailer isn’t one for the faint-hearted!
