HBO Max confirmed it will rotate the DC films available on the streaming service each month to keep its content varied for subscribers.
Although many HBO Max subscribers assumed that its collection of DC films would be a permanent fixture on the service, it seems that the catalogue will rotate in and out of the platform. The news comes soon after fans learnt that a number of films including Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and a number of other DC titles will leave HBO Max in July.
A spokesperson for HBO Max told ComicBook.com that although there’s a number of DC films leaving the service in July, they’ll be replaced with another collection of titles. They also noted that a second batch of movies will arrive in August, although they didn’t clarify whether these will be the returning films from the previous month or not. Most fans will be holding out for the Snyder Cut when it finally arrives in 2021, but its still a little disappointing to see that many DC films will frequently rotate off the service.
“We have a collection of DC films that will rotate on the platform. We have a new batch coming in July and then another batch coming in August.”
Are you surprised that HBO Max will rotate its collection of DC films? Are you disappointed with the streaming service so far? What do you think should be added to it? Sound-off in the comments below!
