Superman actor Henry Cavill would jump at the chance to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond.
As No Time To Die finally edges closer to a theatrical release, many 007 fans are wondering who will replace Daniel Craig as 077.In a recent interview with GQ, Henry Cavill revealed that he’d “love to” succeed Craig and step into his shoes as the next James Bond. The news comes soon after the star explained he won’t don the Superman costume in reshoots for Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut, which is coming to HBO Max.
While many fans seem to think Henry Cavill as James Bond would be a good move for the series, there’s no word as to whether it’ll happen or not. When speaking to GQ, Cavill explained that it’s “up in the air” but that he’d love to take on the role. It’s hard to deny that Cavill wouldn’t be a good fit for the role, especially after his brilliant performance as CIA assassin August Walker. “If Barbara [Bond producer Barbara Broccoli] and Mike [co-producer Michael G. Wilson] were interested in that, I would absolutely jump at the opportunity. At this stage, it’s all up in the air. We’ll see what happens. But yes, I would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting.”
