A digital artist has created Justice League fan art featuring Henry Cavill as a bearded Superman in the black suit.
Over a year after the release of Justice League, it’s hard to believe the DC film is still being talked about by fans who continue to press Warner Bros. to release Zack Snyder’s cut. Yet, here we are and while we may never see Zack Snyder’s true vision for Justice League, fan art imagining what could have been continues to surface online. The latest piece comes from an Instagram account simply called” Release The Snyder Cut” and it imagines Henry Cavill as a bearded Superman in the iconic black suit from the comics.

Of course, Henry Cavill’s Superman was not resurrected quite how fans expected in the theatrical cut of Justice League, but this image offers them a hint at what it might have looked like had the Man of Steel returned with the black outfit.
For now, Henry Cavill is trading his Superman suit for the lead role in Netflix’s The Witcher. Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher will follow the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez and Charlotte Brandstrom are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Aretuza, and Millie Brady as Princess Renfri. Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read are also on board as novice sorcerers. The series will be available on Netflix later this year.
