Invincible is returning to Amazon Prime Video.
The second season of the hit animated series Invincible is set to premiere in late 2023. The release window was revealed in a new teaser trailer for the Amazon Prime Video series, featuring the voice talents of Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson and Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien. Check it out below.
Based on the popular Image Comics series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, Invincible premiered in March 2021. The series was developed for television by Simon Racioppa, who recently worked on the animated The Boys spin-off series Diabolical. It received widespread acclaim and was renewed for two more seasons ahead of its season one finale.
The cast and storyline of the Invincible adaptation
The cast of Invincible also includes J.K. Simmons, Sandrah Oh, Mark Hamill, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Mae Whitman and Malese Jow.
An official synopsis for the eight-episode first season of the Amazon Prime Video series reads as follows: “INVINCIBLE is an adult animated superhero series that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.”
