Is Ironheart actually good? The long-awaited Disney Plus series has been certified fresh by Rotten Tomatoes, even as the audience rating remains rotten.
It’s been a long road to get to Ironheart. Despite filming having wrapped on the series nearly three years ago, the project only recently dropped on Disney Plus. Even then, its’ release strategy was odd when compared to any other project of a similar vein, being put out in two 3-episode chunks instead of the usual weekly release schedule.
Yet it seems, despite the controversial nature of its release, Ironheart has become a much-needed win for Disney Plus. The series has landed a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, landing a 86% with critics. This is up a whopping 10% from initial reviews, suggesting that the back half of the series managed to help the project just over the line of certification.

Is Ironheart Getting Fake Reviews?
Though not everything seems to be going well in paradise. Even though Ironheart is Certified Fresh with critics, the audience score signs a different tune. The Disney Plus series gets an abysmal 53% from audiences, giving it the third lowest audience score behind Secret Invasion (43%) and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law (32%).
However, these low scores may potentially be artificial. Ironheart was infamously review-bombed prior to release, forcing Rotten Tomatoes to reset and lock audience scores until the series actually debuted on Disney Plus. The show’s audience score is also aggregated from over 2,500 reviews, which is astronomically high for a new release. In comparison, The Bear season 4 released around the same time with a similar schedule, and currently only has just over 500 reviews.
