It seems as though everyone is getting yoked for Superman: Legacy! Isabela Merced recently showed off her amazing transformation for the role of Hawkgirl in the upcoming DC Universe movie.

Over the past few months, multiple actors from Superman: Legacy have been sharing their workout progress on social media. While few have been able to keep up with the sheer size of David Corenswet, it seems Isabela Merced is putting her best foot forward to play Hawkgirl in the DCU reboot by James Gunn and Peter Safran, revealing her inspiration to get shredded on Instagram.

Fans were elated when they found out Isabela Merced would be playing Hawkgirl in the DCU. The actress has a solid filmography under her belt, even playing a Marvel heroine in Madame Web, with many finding her to be the perfect fit for the role of Hawkgirl. Hopefully, Merced will be able to fly to new heights once she makes her DCU debut in Superman: Legacy

Superman’s DC Universe Future

Set to begin production in March 2024, Superman: Legacy promises a fresh take on the iconic superhero saga, featuring David Corenswet stepping into the role of Superman, previously portrayed by Henry Cavill. Joining Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan in this new chapter of the Superman story is Nicholas Hoult, who is taking on the role of the villainous Lex Luthor.

Superman: Legacy is a much-anticipated project, given that Clark Kent has been an integral part of the DC Universe for over 80 years, with various iterations and adaptations across different media. The movie promises to explore the character’s origins and his struggles to balance his dual identities as Clark Kent and Superman while fighting off villains and saving the world.

James Gunn and Peter Safran told journalists that their vision for the DC Universe includes locked scripts, wiggle room and a unified storyline across film, television, animation and video game projects. The two explained that the DC Universe could bring back elements from previous DC regimes, meaning that their eight-to-year plan is not a full reboot.
