Ivanna Sakhno is set to play a new Star Wars character in the upcoming series starring Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano.

Casting news for Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka is ramping up with production reportedly beginning in March. It was first reported that Hayden Christensen would be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker in the series. Then, news came out last week that Natasha Liu Bordizzo had been cast to play Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels. Now, Deadline reports Ivanna Sakhno will also have a role to play in the Ahsoka Tano series.

While the Ahsoka Tano series has been adding familiar Star Wars characters, the report states that Ivanna Sakhno will play a new character. Sakhno’s credits include Pacific Rim: Uprising, The Spy Who Dumped Me, and High Fidelity.

Rosario Dawson made her debut as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian, here is the show’s premise:

“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travels of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic….”

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, Temuera Morrison, Katee Sackhoff, Ming-Na Wen, Bill Burr, Timothy Olyphant, and Carl Weathers, with Rosario Dawson joining the series as Ahsoka Tano ahead of her spin-off series. The series was created by Jon Favreau and executive produced by Dave Filoni, with season two episodes also directed by Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard, Peyton Reed, Carl Weathers, and Robert Rodriguez.

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are available on Disney Plus.
