The Batman has sure been a film many fans have been trying to keep up with due to the popularity of the character and now there have been rumors linking Jack O’Connell to the film, but is the actor actually up for the role?
The Batman has recently been reported to have a completed script and with that the film could perhaps be gearing up to begin its production soon, though nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet. With that in mind, we could be looking at a new person wearing the famous cape and cowl soon as the film continues to move forward. With not much official news about the film, there have been rumors and theories suggesting that a new person could be taking the title role in The Batman.
No official word or discussions between Jack O’Connell and Warner Bros. have taken place as of yet, according to Forbes. There have been many other names that have been thrown around and it just so happens Jack O’Connell is one of them. This rumor took traction after Mark Hughes from Forbes started throwing the name around as he believed O’Connell was a good choice for the role, but soon the name began bouncing back. Here’s what he had to say about that:
“So let me say clearly that when I mentioned Jack O’Connell as the top best casting choice for Batman, I had not heard specific sourced information that he was running or atop any “list” to play Batman. And as of today, it does not appear O’Connell has had discussions about the role of Batman with the principles.”
With no official word, Jack O’Connell is simply another name being thrown around much like Jon Hamm and Jake Gyllenhaal. Perhaps, there are other great actors out there that could become the Caped Crusader, but there is no official word of someone being up for the role.
