Thor: Love and Thunder‘s Jaimie Alexander, who returned to the MCU as Lady Sif in the film, has shared a new image of herself in her battle-scarred makeup and costume.
Jaimie Alexander first appeared as Lady Sif in 2011’s Thor. Sif is an Asgardian warrior and close friend of Thor, who has been seen fighting alongside him and the Warriors Three in the past. While she was absent from Thor: Ragnarok, Jaimie Alexander returned as Sif for Love and Thunder.
Taking to social media, Jaimie Alexander has given fans a new look at herself as Sif for Thor: Love and Thunder, which found the Asgardian a little worse for wear.
Sif Vs. Gorr The God Butcher
When she first appears in Thor: Love and Thunder, Jaimie Alexander’s Sif is on the verge of death, having just endured an attack from Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher.
As well as sporting a new costume, which tied into the brighter and more “comic book” aesthetic of Taika Waititi’s Thor films, this attack meant Sif was found bloodied in the snowy wastelands she had encountered Gorr.
Jaimie Alexander took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes image of herself suited up as Lady Sif for Thor: Love and Thunder, praising the film’s make-up artist Rebecca Allen, hairstylist Gabriele Gregorini and costume designer Mayes Rubeo.

Sif’s role was brief in Thor: Love and Thunder, but Jaimie Alexander’s MCU return was a welcome one. Despite the fleeting nature of her role, Sif’s new look for the film was impressive and her place in the story gave her a chance to engage with the more jovial dialogue of Taika Waititi’s take on the Thor franchise.
Here is the synopsis for Thor: Love and Thunder:
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Directed by Taika Waititi and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, the Thor solo film stars Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Taika Waititi, Russell Crowe, Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
