James Gunn recently confirmed a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 rumor regarding the film’s opening scene with Groot.

Director James Gunn has long since teased that there are plenty of Easter eggs in his films and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is no different. In a recent Instagram story, Gunn confirmed a rumor that he has a small on-screen role in the introduction of the sequel. Fans have still not found the big Easter egg hidden in the first film that director James Gunn has previously mentioned, but for now, it’s easy to enjoy the director’s performance as Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

On Instagram, James Gunn confirmed a report that claims that when Groot dances at the start of the cosmic Marvel film, it’s actually him dancing in a motion capture suit.
