Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad director James Gunn recently married Peacemaker star Jennifer Holland.
For The Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy, James Gunn brought in many friends and longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Holland. In The Suicide Squad, Holland played Eimila Harcourt, who would go on to have a much larger role in the Peacemaker HBO Max series.
A Big Marvel and DC Wedding
In February, James Gunn and Jennifer Holland announced their engagement and held their wedding over the weekend. On Instagram, Gunn shared some photos from his wedding, which included a DC vs. Marvel softball game and an appearance from the Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad cast. Here is the synopsis for James Gunn’s Peacemaker:
“PEACEMAKER explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises in the aftermath of executive producer James Gunn’s 2021 film The Suicide Squad – a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it!”
The DCEU series was created by James Gunn, who wrote all the episodes and directed five of them. The first season of the HBO Max series consisted of eight episodes, with Brad Anderson, Jody Hill, and Rosemary Rodriguez also directing episodes. Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner composed the DC show’s score.
The HBO Max series stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick.
