Peacemaker series creator James Gunn shared a hilarious gag reel from the John Cena DCEU series.
Earlier this week, HBO Max officially dropped the Season One finale of Peacemaker. This new series from writer/director James Gunn and starring John Cena reprising his role from the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film The Suicide Squad received much acclaim from critics and viewers alike, much of which can be attributed to the show’s irreverent sense of humor.
James Gunn wrote all eight scripts for Peacemaker, and given that he is known for his irreverent humor amidst a surprisingly heartfelt story at the center, John Cena and the rest of the cast involved were bound to bring their own skills to the table in bringing the comedy to life. Oftentimes, this can lead to some truly hilarious bloopers.
On his official Twitter, James Gunn shared an official Peacemaker gag reel. This gag reel gives us a sense at the camaraderie and hilarity that ensued amongst John Cena and his fellow co-stars when bringing the first original DCEU series to life. You can check it out down below:

PEACEMAKER explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises in the aftermath of executive producer James Gunn’s 2021 film The Suicide Squad – a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it!
The series was created by James Gunn, who wrote all the episodes and directed five of them. The first season of the HBO Max series will consist of eight episodes, with Brad Anderson, Jody Hill, and Rosemary Rodriguez also directing episodes. Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner also composed the DC show’s score.
The HBO Max series stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick.
